We are looking for motivated and passionate young individuals who are eager to contribute to a diverse and dynamic learning environment.
To apply through our UWC national committee, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Age requirement
To apply for this admissions cycle, students must be between 15 and 18 years old by August 2026, which is when the UWC experience begins.
This means applicants must have been born between August 1st, 2008 and August 1st, 2011.
2. Educational background
They must be enrolled in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade during the second semester of 2025, or 9th grade if it corresponds to the pre-IB (MYP) year at an international school.
If the applicant has already graduated, they must not be enrolled in a higher education institution.
Students may apply to UWC a maximum of two times.
3. Residency and nationality
Only Colombian nationals or permanent residents in Colombia are eligible to apply through UWC Colombia.
- Be a citizen of Colombia.
- Hold permanent residency in Colombia.

4. Personal qualities and values
While academic excellence is important, UWC seeks students who exhibit:
- A strong commitment to UWC’s values, including intercultural understanding, mutual respect, and sustainability.
- A desire to make a positive impact in their communities.
The resilience and adaptability needed for an international and rigorous residential educational experience.
5. Language requirements
UWC schools and colleges primarily use English as the language of instruction. While fluency is not required at the time of application, applicants are advised to attain a basic proficiency in English and demonstrate a willingness to improve their language skills.
